"I don’t position myself as having all the answers. I position myself as someone committed to collaboration, ethical leadership, and building systems that actually support the people behind the music."
Sabella "Bella" Reyes, LCSW, Music Industry Social Worker
Sabella “Bella” Reyes is a licensed clinical social worker, Executive Director of Track Society, and a pioneering practitioner in the emerging specialty of Music Industry Social Work. Her work sits at the intersection of behavioral health, workforce development, stewardship, and the independent music economy.
As a Berklee Online music business graduate student, Bella brings a growing academic lens to the lived realities of independent artists, music professionals, and creative teams. Her approach is grounded in a core belief: artist wellness, career sustainability, and cultural responsibility are directly connected.
Bella views independent music as more than an industry. It is a cultural ecosystem that requires care, structure, accountability, and stewardship. Through her work, she supports independent music professionals and industry leaders in strengthening both the people and the systems shaping the future of music.
Music Industry Social Work is a behavioral-health-informed and stewardship-centered practice focused on supporting both individuals and systems within the music ecosystem.
Bella’s work includes:
Rather than positioning herself as the solution, Bella operates as a collaborative builder. Her work helps creatives, community partners, and industry stakeholders access the tools, support, and relationships required to grow with greater clarity, wellness, accountability, and sustainability.
Bella frames the independent music ecosystem through a distinct lens: a high-performance space with real cultural influence, but not enough shared coaching, stewardship, structure, or standards to support the people carrying that influence.
Through her work, she has identified recurring gaps across the independent music community:
Bella’s work responds to these gaps by helping build intentional systems of support rather than one-time interventions. Her leadership is grounded in both care and accountability, with a clear belief that the independent music community has real influence over culture.
Bella believes influence without intention can dilute culture just as quickly as it can grow it. That is why her work centers not only what artists create, but how they are supported, developed, connected, and equipped to carry their creative responsibility with clarity and sustainability.
As Founder and Executive Director of Track Society, Bella operationalizes this vision through programming, partnerships, and community initiatives designed to strengthen the independent music ecosystem from the inside out.
Track Society serves as a platform for implementation, translating behavioral health insight, music business education, and stewardship-centered leadership into practical support for independent music professionals.
Through its programs and partnerships, Track Society works to:
For Bella, Track Society is more than a nonprofit organization. It is a vehicle for building the kind of support system independent music professionals often need but do not always have access to: structure, direction, community, stewardship, and care for the person behind the work.
In this episode, Bella shares her journey as a recording artist, executive producer, and military veteran while offering meaningful insight for aspiring audio engineers and music professionals.
The conversation explores career transition, emotional intelligence in the studio, and the real-life lessons that shape creative growth. Bella’s story reflects the discipline, self-awareness, and resilience it takes to build a lasting path in music and production.
